Throughout this National Apprenticeship Week we’ve introduced some of our top apprentices to discover their perspective on undertaking an apprenticeship with Pickfords.

Today is Sarah Watt, Customer Service Apprentice:

“What I really like about the apprenticeship is that along with real work experience, I’m gaining a qualification that I’ll have for life.

It’s a great way to gain knowledge of different areas of the business and it has prepared me for everything I’ll have to handle in my job.

There are also lots of opportunities to move up the ladder at Pickfords, so I hope that it will open doors for other jobs too.”

This National Apprenticeship Week, you’ll meet some of our top apprentices and discover their perspective on undertaking an apprenticeship with Pickfords.

Today is Tyler Doherty, Logistics Operations Apprentice:

“Having an apprenticeship has definitely lived up to my expectations, I know that some apprenticeships are classroom-based, but this is real learning on the job. Some things just can’t be taught in the classroom and I believe that you get a much better understanding of job by living it every day.

“Pickfords has been great.  In this role, I’m being offered real chances of progression and I feel they’ve really supported me.”

This National Apprenticeship Week, you’ll meet some of our top apprentices and discover their perspective on undertaking an apprenticeship with Pickfords.

First off is Emma Bowen, European Move Manager and Apprentice:

“I’d recommend an apprenticeship to anyone. It’s given me the chance to get experience in the workplace and a foot in the door at a great company.

What I like most about Pickfords is that we work so well together as a team and you feel that support is always there. The Pickfords name is instantly recognisable because it has such a long history and a good reputation and it’s nice to be part of that.

I really enjoy my job, especially because it’s so satisfying to oversee everything from beginning to end. You get to build up a good relationship with customers.”
