Birmingham dominates Pickfords charity football tournament

Pickfords’ Birmingham branch was the star of the first annual NSPCC Charity Football Tournament, surviving 5 matches unbeaten against teams from across the network, to lift the trophy for first place.

The Tournament was held as Powerleague Fives, Milton Keynes, raising £315 for the NSPCC. Pickfords FC, a team from the Wembley Head Office, secured 2nd place, while Pickfords York placed 3rd.

Highlights of the day included:

  • The Senior Managers & Directors team taking a 14-4 thrashing against Pickfords FC
  • Team FCO being awarded 5 penalties in a row
  • Pickfords FC’s Dan Pettit performing a cartwheel after scoring a hat-trick in the semi-final against Croyden
  • Corporate Sales Director Simon Johns scoring with his first touch

Thanks to the organisers and all the players and spectators for making it such an enjoyable day. The next Tournament is planned for April 2015.
